Stainless Steel 316Ti Bars and Rods are advanced forms of 316 stainless steel wherein titanium has been added to stabilize this specific grade of steel against intergranular corrosion decay resulting from exposure to high temperatures. The usual chemical composition consists of about 16 to 18% chromium, about 10 to 14% nickel, and 2 to 3% molybdenum. The addition of a small amount of titanium helps to give superior strength and endurance to the rods and bars with very good tensile properties. They have a tensile strength of the order of 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, elongation of about 40%, and other excellent mechanical properties. They are so ideal for tough industrial applications because of their excellent combination of toughness, ductility, and corrosion- and oxidation-resistant properties.
